good news for me, since Japan isn’t a four hour plane ride away anymore,

but I still need my yearly stock of grey shirts and brown notebooks

and goldfish-catching games

though Muji does not have goldfish catching games yet, alas, not even in Japan

it’s just that thinking about Muji makes me think about Japan, and how much I love to travel there

in Japan you find Osaka’s Dotonbori Gokuraku Syotengai

a wicked awesome food theme park (!) dedicated to Osaka’s deservedly famous fast food

in short, Muji, goldfish-catching, fast food theme parks that are seedy (in a good way) and fun and involve fried octopus and women dressed in ruffly dresses: will it work in America?
